Paul Henderson

Paul Henderson scored "THE GOAL". If you are a Canadian hockey fan, that's all you need to say to describe Paul Henderson. On September 28, 1972, Paul scored this fabled goal with 34 seconds left in final game of an eight game series between Canada and the USSR to allow Canada to lay claim to victory in the series. Unbelievably, Paul scored the winning goal for Canada in each of the last three games of the series, must-win games for Canada to win this historical battle.

Paul started his NHL career in Detroit with the Red Wings before being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in a blockbuster deal. He jumped to the WHA's Toronto Toros in 1974 who became the Birmingham Bulls and finished his playing career back in the NHL with the Atlanta Flames.

In his post-playing career, Paul has developed into one of the top motivational speakers anywhere. Of course, hockey stories are a part of his presentations and Paul draws analogies from the competitive hockey world to the competitive business world. Teamwork, leadership, goals, and hard work all have their place in both worlds. Paul masterfully illustrates his points through these comparisons.

Paul is also highly sought after by Christian audiences for his outspoken faith in God. He is very actively involved in his own ministry and lends his support to many Christian endeavours. He particularly focuses on developing men and women for leadership in the home and workplace.
